Steve’s professional joy comes from working from the inside of an organization.  This requires building personal relationships, trust, and really getting to know a business.  Steve founded Tobit Consulting to follow this passion.   Steve began his career by starting and operating a service oriented business in Voorhees, NJ.  He successfully grew this business for nine years.  In 1995, the Floyd’s moved to Florida to refocus life around faith and family.  Steve worked for ten years for Anheuser-Busch wholesalers. Positions held include marketing director, director of human resources, administrative director, and general manager.  During this time he went back to school and in 2004 graduated with an MBA.  He received the Outstanding Achievement Award and attained a 4.0 GPA.  It was during the capstone class that he discovered his passion for strategic planning.    In 2012 Steve felt the call to become a deacon in the Catholic Church. While pursuing this he obtained a master’s in theology. Steve was ordained in 2017. Steve and Renee have been married for 35 years and live in Ocala, Florida. They have two wonderful children, Nick, who owns Nick Floyd SAT Prep, an ACT/SAT Tutoring Business, and Laura, a Junior at Florida State.   • Business consultant specializing in strategic planning, change management, and business consulting.
  • Hands on project management from inception to completion.

Fusion Dental, Chief Development Officer/Contract Employee – Oxford, FL April 2018 – Present

  • Set up a Dental Service Organization (Fusion Dental).
  • Hired Executive Staff to include Dentists.
  • Oversaw a 3000 square-foot office expansion.

Dr. Stephen H. Dunn, DDS PA, Practice Administrator – Ocala, Florida December 2014 – November 2017

Responsible for strategic planning, hiring, marketing and overall operations of the dental practice.

  • Oversaw the construction of a 10,000 square foot office that includes a dental lab, 21 operatories, and 3 physical therapy rooms.
  • Hired two associate dentists.
  • On track to increase collections 43% in three years.
  • Oversaw the expansion of staff from 19 to 32 employees.

Franck’s Lab, Business Manager/Consultant – Ocala, Florida January 2011 – June 2012

Responsible for human resources, marketing, sales and process improvement for the four business unit, 90 employee operation.

  • Led strategic planning session which identified key success factors for each business unit.
  • Increased Lab sales from $600,000 to over $1,000,000 monthly.
  • Implemented cross functional management.
  • Reorganized reporting structure of lab and customer service personnel.
  • Implemented controls reducing company wide overtime from 200 hours to less than 50 hours.

Urology Health Team, Interim Practice Manager/Consultant – Ocala, Florida February 2010 – August 2010

Facilitated dissolution of medical partnership and establishment of a new practice.

  • All human resource functions including payroll and hiring for the 50+ employee organization.
  • Designed and implemented accounting systems to include pro forma, accounts payables, and software.
  • Purchased electronic medical records and practice management software.
